Women of the ELCA
Since the 1930's, Trinity has had continuous small groups for women who meet regularly for study, service, and fellowship. We currently have two groups who meet monthly: "Circle of Ruth" on Saturday morning, and the "Von Bora Circle" on Sunday afternoon.
Trinity's women are very active in gatherings of women beyond our congregation: at the Conference level (we're part of the New River Conference within the Virginia Synod), the state level, and even the national level.
Lutheran Men in Mission
Trinity's men are a committed group who meet for supper and a program most months on the third Tuesday evening. Much like our women's ministry, these men of faith meet for fellowship, study, and service (such as baking cookies for Kairos prison ministry). We encourage all men in the congregation to take part in this wonderful program for spiritual growth and support.
As soon as a child is born, we provide the parents and child with valuable materials to aid in faith formation. For children Pre-K through Middle School we have an after-worship program called "Sparks!" (a take-off on our baptismal calling to "let our light so shine before others..."). For our High School youth and our Adults, we have Sunday morning classes. Wednesday Bible Study is a time for members to go deeper in the scripture reading assigned for the upcoming Sunday.
